World Skills General Assembly

The WorldSkills General Assembly was held in Lucerne, Switzerland 13-19 September 2014. It brought together the Competition Organizers from São Paulo, the Board of WorldSkills International and the WorldSkills Member countries and regions.

During the week of activities, the team from São Paulo presented the details about the hosting packages and information for different participants of the Competition. In addition, members of the São Paulo Convention & Visitors Bureau (an organization that promotes tourism and business in São Paulo), were there to promote the city.

The Conference Programme was also presented, which will promote meetings between leaders in industry, government and education; and other special events that will occur during WorldSkills São Paulo 2015, such as the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the One School One Country Program, industry and study tours, among others.

WORLDSKILLS INTERNATIONAL

During the General Assembly, the Organization reviewed aspects such as strategic and organizational development related to the Members countries and regions. The WorldSkills Leaders Forum, which featured the theme “Skills – The Door to Our Future”, was held in conjunction with the International Congress on Vocational and Professional Education and Training.

Another activity during the General Assembly was the WorldSkills Champions Forum, which brought together the several Champions from the last five Competitions with the goal of developing a project plan in order to keep them involved with WorldSkills beyond the Competition.
