How did you get interested in your skill?
I helped a family friend out with her business doing wedding flowers and I loved it. I found out I could do a course at College and I really enjoyed it.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
I trained at South Staffordshire College.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
South Staffordshire College encouraged me to enter the WorldSkills UK Skills Competitions where I won the Bronze Medal in the finals, held at The Skills Show, the UK’s largest skills and careers event.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
A family friend.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
South Staffordshire College encouraged me to enter the WorldSkills UK Skills Competitions where I won the Bronze Medal in the finals, held at The Skills Show, the UK’s largest skills and careers event. Following this I was asked to compete for a place in Squad then Team UK for WorldSkills São Paulo 2015.
As part of Squad and Team UK I have been training with Joe Massie, a former Team UK competitor who won Bronze at WorldSkills Calgary 2009 as well as my Training Manager Steph Willoughby, who works at Plumpton College.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Getting into Team UK and competing at EuroSkills Lille 2014.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
As part of Squad and Team UK I have been training with Joe Massie, a former Team UK competitor who won Bronze at WorldSkills Calgary 2009 as well as my Training Manager Steph Willoughby, who works at Plumpton College.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
It certainly has. I can put a Bronze Medal on my CV which is amazing and it has helped me progress in my career.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I work at School Farm Shop.

What are your future career aspirations?
I would like to run my own business and my experience with WorldSkills is giving me confidence to achieve that.
