How did you get interested in your skill?
I was an apprentice and my Wintec tutor offered me to represent my province at the national competition.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
Fonterra, Alliance group, leanred from Dad, Jesco hydraulics.


How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
Through my tutor at Wintec.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My family pointed me into trades and I tried different ones at school through gateway programme until I decided I liked engineering.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
Great so far.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Winning gold at the National final.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills.
Feels like my days aren't long enough with study and training, sense of achievement.

yes, it's diversified my skillset into other areas that Fonterra doesn't provide.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I'm in 3rd year of a mechanical engineering apprenticeship - maintenance strand. I work at Fonterra.

What are your future career aspirations?
To either do a diploma in mechanical engineering or go into ENCHEM preferrably.
