How did you get interested in your skill?
My father had a restaurant.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
In Upper Austria and in Carinthia. (Hotel, school)

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
I found it out about my boss.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My boss and my parents.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
It is a lot of fun and I learned many things for my future.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
It was a great feeling to win the Austrian Competition, the training was hard but I got something back and it was really wonderful.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
I learned so many things for my life and for my job. And it’s a good feeling to compare you with other countries.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes sure, because of the hard training you get the routine. For example in a restaurant, a waitress will not often flambé, but I did it 1000 times as training for the competitions.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I am a waitress in a á la carte restaurant in a hotel at the Wörthersee in Carinthia.

What are your future career aspirations?
In my future, I want to be a restaurant manager in a good restaurant. I also will travel around the world. Sao Paulo is the first step.
