Sponsors Forum, Launch of the Commemorative Stamp and One School One Country Programme on day 3 of CPW

4 February 2015

The third day of CPW2015 was even more special. During the morning, the Competition Organizer, WorldSkills São Paulo 2015, showed what has been prepared for the Visitor Experience, the concept that centres on the whole engagement of the public during their visit to the Anhembi Park.

Gustavo Rosa, General Coordinator of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015, said that during the four days of Competition the visitors will find various forms of interaction that will allow them to have contact with the skills in a fun and dynamic way.

Try-a-Skill is an interactive opportunity where the visitors will get involved with the skills through simulators or our hands-on activities.

Cristiano Zannini, Communications Coordinator of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015, gave details about “Cyber”, which will be located in Exhibition Center. “In this space there will be a food court with food trucks, educational games, an area to rest, read and much more.”

SPONSORS FORUM

Also in the morning there was a meeting for national and international partners of the Competition. Gustavo Rosa presented the Sponsorship and Partnership strategy and the results achieved so far. ”We already have 34 companies confirmed, four contracts signed and 30 contracts in the final stages of confirmation.”

Maurício Lopes, from Romi Industries, one of the sponsor companies of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015, commented on the importance of supporting the Competition. "We believe in education and professional development. Supporting WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 by collaborating to develop the professional education of future managers, as well as with the growth of Brazilian industry,” he said.

COMMEMORATIVE STAMP

Tuesday afternoon started in an impressive way. The Commemorative Stamp of WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 was launched, an unprecedented action in the Competition´s history. Masters of Ceremonies Paulo Pandjarjian, Institutional and Governamental Coordinator of the Competition, welcomed the governmental authorities representatives and WorldSkills International Board of Directors, including Simon Bartley, President of WorldSkills.

ONE SCHOOL ONE COUNTRY

Today we also officially launched the One School One Country programme, with the presence and speeches of government representatives and official spokespeople of WorldSkills. The programme aims to encourage secondary students to find out more about vocational education and skills excellence. Part of the programme includes a visit in August between the teams coming to São Paulo for Competition and the 55 schools . After those visits, the students will go to Anhembi Park to attend the event.

Simon Bartley and representatives of the Secretary of Education of São Paulo State and the Secretary of Education of the City of São Paulo made some statements. The programme´s launch was very laid-back, with the spokespeople breaking the formal protocol and waving to students and directors of the schools. “We are sure that this experience will be very enriching and the interaction will be great, especially because the schools had the opportunity to choose the Delegations they wanted to receive,” said Fatima Antonio - Secretary of Education of the City of São Paulo.

After the speeches, there was an exchange of information cards between the Technical Delegates and representatives of the 55 host schools.
