How did you get interested in your skill?
I became interested in this skill by growing up around it. From a very young age my dad always had me out in his shop with him.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
I attended Highland Community College Technical Center in Atchison, Kansas for their Diesel Technology program instructed by Fred Moranz.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
When I started attending Highland Technical Center it was a requirement of the class.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
My dad was the biggest influence in my life when it came to pursuing a career in diesel technology.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
I was parliamentarian my first year of involvement, my second year I was the vice president, and my third year I was president over Highlands Skills USA chapter.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Meeting the USA team that I will be traveling and competing with

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills A lot of training and meeting new people.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes, through training I have learned a lot about my strengths and weaknesses and how to better my weaknesses and nurture my strengths. It has helped me better myself and improve on my skills making me not only a better mechanic but also a more resourceful co-worker.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I am an over-the-road truck technician for Foley Equipment in St. joseph, Missouri.

What are your future career aspirations?
In the next six months I will be graduating from Highland Community College with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science. I then hope to continue my education and obtain a Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
