How did you get interested in your skill?
I am a student of Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore. I have always been interested in cooking skills and passionate about this from my childhood.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
I started my training from Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore and moved to ITC Gardenia, Bangalore for further training.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
The National Skills Development Corporation invited our college to participate in the skills of Patisserie, Cooking and Restaurant Service as we are a part of brilliant Hotel Management College.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
Chef Greco Vitterio, Master Chef at ITC Gardenia
Chef Ranajoy Choudhary, senior lecturer at IHM Bangalore

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
National Skills Development Corporation organized the skills competition in many stages and regions to call in competitors. The documentation which was provided of the test project, competition rules, technical descriptions, etc., helped us get clear indications of the requirements of skills of the competitors. All along we felt that there was transparency in the entire process by National Skill Developmental Corporation.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
The moment I came to know that I am going Brazil to represent India over there for the skill of cooking.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
It has been an unbelievable experience with the National Skills Development Corporation supporting the competitors throughout and motivating them to develop their skills further by coordinating with the hospitality academia who provided great visions for the competitors.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes, it really helped me out to do best in future and day to day, minute to minute I learned a lot.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I am a 2nd year BSc student in hospitality and hotel administration.

What are your future career aspirations?
My future aspiration is to become a great chef and a good human being.
