How did you get interested in your skill?
As a child, I was always attracted towards clothes and copied different styles. Designing and construction of garment has long been a passion.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
Informal training happened at home. It was my uncle who guided me to Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) for formalizing my training in pattern making apparel construction through ATDC Rohini, New Delhi, India, which is India's largest vocational training provider for the apparel sector.


How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
Guided by my uncle, I reached one of the ATDC training centres at Rohini, New Delhi, India and got myslef registered for the Apparel Pattern making program in Jan'14. Equipped with sate of the art infrastructure and latest machinery, ATDC has provided me with technical know-how for garment manufacturing.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
I believe 'satisfaction' is when your passion becomes your work.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
My trainers, expert and especially CEO of ATDC, Dr. Darlie Koshy are the motivating forces. Apparel Training and Design Centre has given wings to my dreams. The technical know-how has enabled me to understand the details of construction to give shape to my creations. ATDC gave me the platform to participate in WorldSkills and sponsored my participation in all aspects.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Meeting people from different countries and conversing in 'Skills Language' was an amazing experience.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills.
Participation in WorldSkills has helped me in exploring my hidden talet and also in improving my time management skills.


Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes, a lot. I have learen better time managemnt skills, it has chnaged my attitude and I have learned different ways of pattern making also from my fellow competitors.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I'm a student at Apparel Training and Design Cetre, New Delhi, India

What are your future career aspirations?
I want to become a renowned garment exporter of India.
