How did you get interested in your skill?
I grew up at my parents carpentry. Therefore I was always confronted with timber which coined my life.

Where did you do your training for your skill?
In training centers in whole Germany and at our company.

How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?
After my uncle has participated at the “World Skills” 1979 in Cork (Ireland) I was always interested in this organization.

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
Due to our carpentry I was always focused to improve my skills and I was looking for a new challenge.

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
Meet and greet in Frankfurt with all German participants

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
Victory at the 11th European Championship for Carpenters in team and single rating

Good exchange of ideas and interests with other participants

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Yes of course. This trainings are very important for improving your skills and you learn a lot from former participants

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I work in my parents carpentry. After work (at evening) I am preparing for the World Skills.

What are your future career aspirations?
In September I will start the master school for carpentry in Munich.
