1.    How did you get interested in your skill?

I got interested in my skill because it is a field where we can explore and learn every day and there is more new information.

2.    Where did you do your training for your skill?

Most of my training was carried out at the Centro de Formación de Diseño, Confección y Moda in Regional Antioquia and I went to other training centres in Cucuta and Barranquilla.

 

3.    How did you first find out about your Member organization and its programs?

I learnt about it in High School since SENA has agreements with certain institutions and I knew about the course and I could enrol in it.

4.    Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?

My High School teacher Mrs Soledad Naranjo and the regional expert Nora Pareja.

 

5.    What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?

It is a very enriching experience since the knowledge acquired during the whole process is good and, especially, the support received from the organization.

 

 

6.    Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?

When I won the national competition because it was something unexpected and I realise that I could achieve everything I pursued.

 

7.    Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills

My experience has been very good because I have been able to challenge myself and to know about the kind of things I’m able to do. I could defeat my shyness and learnt how to be more confident and to trust the people around me.

8.    Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.

They did help me a lot because I could strengthen my skills and they opened many doors for the labour and professional world.

9.    What do you currently do?  Where do you work?

I am an apprentice at SENA.

 

10.  What are your future career aspirations?

My expectation is to go to study in a foreign country in Italy and, then, I want the world to know me and my work to compete with the greatest fashion designers in the world.
