Through an after school activity

A teacher from our school told us

Who influenced you to pursue your skill as a career?
A teacher from our school

What is your experience in participating with your Member organization?
The experience with our organization (SkillsAustria) is very good. They are well organized and do their best to prepare us for the competition.

Describe your most memorable moment so far with WorldSkills?
When my team member and I won the national championship.

Describe what your experience has been since your involvement with WorldSkills
Since the first contact with SkillsAustria and WorldSkills the experience was good. It is a really interesting and cool time but of course also a very stressful one but I think we can learn a lot from this opportunity.

Did participating in the skills competitions and training for WorldSkills help you progress in your skill? Please describe.
Of course it did. I learned to plan and design a robot, I learned a complete new graphical programming language LabView and since our skill is a team skill I also learned some soft skills like communication, team management as well as conflict management and teamwork.

What do you currently do? Where do you work?
I currently attend the 4th class of a HTL (technical high school) in the department Information technology

What are your future career aspirations?
I am not sure yet. I want either study information technology at university or become a pilot.
